Mission

This aircraft has to be built here.

Cheap strike drones put a munition overhead. Anti-drone systems take it down. A drone that only drops is done once the other side turns the counter on. We are building an aircraft that can still deliver, and that can hunt other drones from the same airframe.

It has to be an airplane

Strike and counter-UAS are physical problems. Structure, motors, power, a payload, and a path that is still open after the first gun line or jammer. Those things have mass and cost. They show up when a shop builds them.

Droppers and counters

Cheap strike drones solved how to put a munition overhead. Guns, interceptors, and jammers solved how to knock it down. Most of what you can buy now does one of those jobs. The droppers die on the way in. The counters cannot hit a target. The munition has to get through anyway.

One airframe

WASP ONE carries munitions and an anti-drone system. Same aircraft. It is meant to deliver after the counter is up, and to hunt the drones that are doing the same to us. That is the first program.

Made in the United States

If the airframe, the spare parts, and the people who can repair it live somewhere else, you have a purchase order. When the line is under stress you find out what that is worth. We build here so the airplane is here.
