Thesis
Cheap strike drones made it easy to put a munition in the air. Then guns, interceptors, and jammers made it easy to kill those drones on the way in. Most of what you can buy now does one job or the other: something that drops and dies, or something that kills drones and cannot hit a target. The munition still has to arrive.
WASP ONE is a tactical unmanned aircraft with munitions and an anti-drone system on the same airframe. It is built to deliver after the counter is up, and to hunt other drones while it is flying. First program. In design.
Mission
The airframe, the parts, and the people who can repair it have to live in the United States. WASP ONE is designed and built here for that reason.
Program status
The pictures of WASP ONE on this site are a projected configuration. That is the airframe we are designing toward. It is labeled on the image.
Airframe, propulsion, avionics, payload, and the onboard counter-UAS are in design. This is program one.
WASP Defense is founder-led and small. We are hiring the people and standing up the shop to design and produce these aircraft.
